| Window Treatments Window treatments provide functionality as well as beauty, and are used to protect privacy, insulate from heat and cold, and filter light. Although window treatments can encompass many types, textures and styles such as sheers, draperies or curtains, blinds, shutters and valances, an interior design plan can incorporate more than one type. If you select light filtering blinds as window treatments, you may also want to install a valance or window topper to soften the lines or to add height or color.
