| Our Designers The design team at Designs of the Interior ("DI") is a wonderful blend of talents and expertise in all areas, perfectly balanced to manage your project from inspiration to installation, in a thoroughly enjoyable process! Biographies and photos of everyone in our "DI" family are below to help you get acquainted with us before you call to make your appointment. We can't wait to meet you!  Genaro Lagdameo is the Director of Design at DI. Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, he received a BA in Interior Design at the University of Santo Thomas in 1979. He launched his career as a furniture designer, moving on to Barker Brothers in LA where he won multiple awards for top design. In his first year as a designer with Homestead House, he was awarded as one of the top 20 design consultants in the country, quickly advancing to management with them, followed by management at Thomasville, Agoura Hills. Genaro's passion and gift for interior design is seen in innumerable clients' homes in southern CA, and he led the creative efforts when DI was featured in The Pasadena Showcase House of Design 2009 and 2010. Carla Pardour, CID, has a broad background in interior design: high-end construction and remodel design, custom interior design, project coordination, kitchen and bath design, custom window treatments/bedding and children's furniture design. She has degrees in Interior Design and Fashion Merchandising, and specializes in space planning and conceptual design. Well-versed in every style, Carla knows that every finished project is unique and meets her client's needs in every way. "Successful projects consider budget; color; texture; style; and scale of the room, home, the pieces in relation to each other and even the people who live there", Carla says. Sherwin Ulit is the glue that holds all of the days' activities together at DI, as Manager of Operations. He is a designer himself, and coordinates all client projects from ordering, tracking, shipping and delivery or installation. He's the go-to person for customer questions along the way and brings his cheerful smile and willingness to go the extra mile to everyone. Karen Shoener is very proud of her design team at Designs of the Interior, and is very hands-on at the design center, dedicated to making it the best in the area! She comes from a "builder family" herself, and with her CPA background and expertise in project management, administration, finance and coaching, she brings attention to detail and business sense to every project. Meeting people and building relationships one at a time is Karen's passion and commitment to her business, whether it be with clients, vendors, business associates or community members. Karen and Dan Shoener are officers of the business. |
